part ii: a photo safari!

This photo safari was done the room I share with my sister! The main reason why I decided to use it instead of any other place was because there are so many things to take pictures of- toys, stuffed animals, chairs, clothes, paintings- just so many options for me to choose from.

Unfortunately, that was also my downfall! There was too much to look at it, and finding something to focus on proved to be difficult. Our room is also awfully lit, and because it was a dull day outside, there wasn’t much natural light to light up the room instead.

I thought the challenge would be easier than it was. Looking at the prompts, I found myself thinking too long on one of them, and before I knew it, time was up. It didn’t feel like my photos were “inventive”, as I was too focused on getting them done. At times, I roamed around the room doing circles before finally settling on what I wanted. The most difficult one to take was the one where I moved the camera- I wasn’t getting what I wanted in it. I took at least 7 pictures before finally settling on one that I felt worked.

For the most part, this was a fun exercise. Out of all of them, my favorite is probably rubber duck-pig in the light.
